Today I Pray

We choose to pray in the evening and march in the morning, stand with our bodies toward injustice and our hearts toward the lord.

Today I pray for the voice of the people that it may continue to ring. (2/24/17)

Today I pray for the voice in the night that awoke me from a dead slumber. I pray that I find meaning in your purpose for singling me out to hear those in distress. I pray that I never find the complacency in inaction and that one day there are no more screams in the night. (2/4/2017)

Today I pray that education is not for sale. I pray that it doesn’t become harder for more people to follow their dreams in my community. I pray that we don’t have to pray to “make it out”, because our communities aren’t devoid of resources. (2/2/2017)
